Rosanna Foot Clinic Plantar Foot Pain_ed

Heel Pain & Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common foot complaints, experienced by thousands of Australians every day.

It can affect one or both heels and is often worse first thing in the morning and then eases later in the day.

When too much traction is placed on the plantar fascia (for various reasons) micro-tearing will occur, resulting in irritation, inflammation and pain.

At Rosanna Foot Clinic, we can assess the cause of your arch / heel pain and create a treatment plan to help get relief.

Ingrown Toenail Viewbank Podiatry _edite

Ingrown Toenails

An ingrown toenail is nail which grows into the flesh or the tissues on the side of the nail.

This causes pain, redness and swelling of the surrounding tissues. If left untreated an ingrown toenail can lead to infection. A Podiatrist is best trained to diagnose, treat and prevent ingrown toenails.

Chronic ingrown toenails may require Surgery to successfully treat the problem. In these cases the nail has grown and embedded deeper in the surrounding tissues. These nails are generally too painful to treat conservatively.  Nail surgery performed by a trained podiatrist can cure a chronic ingrown toenail permanently.

Medical Pedicure

As Podiatrists, we are foot experts and can offer you a safe foot and nail treatment that will get your skin and nails looking better than ever before.

Podiatrists are medical professionals who follow strict guidelines for infection control for your safety.

Enjoy having your feet looking healthier and happier, without the fear of catching a nasty fungal infection from a nail salon.

A Medical Pedicure or ‘Medi Pedi’ is a medical grade pedicure.

Diabetes Assessment

Don’t neglect your feet, arrange a Diabetes foot check

A Diabetes foot check with one of our podiatrists takes only 30 minutes. It involves a thorough assessment of your diabetic feet and formulation of a preventative treatment plan. The foot check involves testing your sensation and circulation status as well as looking for other potential risk factors.

Our podiatrists will assess your foot sensation and see if your feet still have enough “protective” sensation to detect injury.

Our podiatrists will then check your foot arteries and circulation using a Doppler. The Doppler gives an audible signal and waveform, indicating how strong the blood flow is through your arteries. These results can be recorded and retested every 12 months. The results of these tests will tell our podiatrists if your diabetic feet are classified low risk or high risk.

Following these tests our podiatrists will also thoroughly check the rest of your feet to look for any other potential foot risk factors or pressure areas.
